One of the biggest criticisms of Traditional Chinese medicine has been that it can’t be seen, and therefore measured or accounted for. If there is no metric, it’s performance can’t be judged and it can’t be improved. Recent advances over the past few decades have allowed us a basic look into what these points may look like.

    Thanks for this, it’s a great piece. The Japanese did research with monkey embryos 20 years ago, showing meridian pathways using barium contrast dye injected into acupoints, then visualized with x-ray & other techniques.

    Cool stuff.
